RStudio Team products — RStudio Server Pro, RStudio Connect, and RStudio Package Manager — receive standard support services through our RStudio Support Program on the operating systems and browsers listed below for up to six months beyond the end of vendor support.


New releases of RStudio products and packages will support operating systems and browsers listed below until either of the following occurs: (1) the vendor no longer supports them; or (2) new releases of the applicable Open Source Language (such as R or Python) no longer support them. All RStudio products and packages will follow the same platform support strategy.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, we will continue to offer customers that have a current valid subscription for an RStudio product RStudio’s standard support services for that product pursuant to the RStudio Support Program for up to six months beyond the vendor end of support date; provided, however, that new releases of RStudio products and packages by RStudio within that six-month window will not test against these browsers and operating systems.

For RHEL / CentOS, it is the end of their maintenance support phase. For Ubuntu, it is the end of their maintenance updates. For SLES / openSUSE, it is the end of their general support.

3. Does RStudio offer support services beyond the vendor end of support date?

Yes, RStudio professional products receive standard support services through our RStudio Support Program for up to six months beyond the end of vendor support.

4. Are new releases still tested against operating systems and browsers during the six months following the the vendor end of support date?

No, new releases are not tested against operating systems and browsers after the vendor end of support date.

5. What products and packages are covered by our platform support strategy?

All RStudio products and packages follow the same platform support strategy. The supported operating systems and browsers for Shiny Server Pro are the same as those listed above for RStudio Team. Supported desktop operating systems for RStudio Desktop Pro can be found on its download page.
